Upper North Haven
Queens Park Village
Rosemont
Benefits of AMI
AMI technology enhances service reliability and efficiency. Benefits include:
No additional fees.
Improved outage reporting and response times.
Less need for property access to read meters.
Reduced risk of meter tampering or electricity theft.
How will residents be informed? Residents can expect:
Postcards detailing the AMI program and contact information (attached).
Automated phone calls prior to meter replacements.
Signage throughout the community during AMI work.
Door-knocking before meter replacements.
Door-hanger notifications after replacements.
What to expect during AMI work:
A technician will knock when they arrive. You don’t need to be home, but access to the electrical meter is required.
A brief power outage will be necessary for the meter replacement.
A notice will be left to confirm successful replacement.
Future electrical usage will be automatically recorded, reducing property access needs.
For condo or apartment residents, ENMAX will coordinate with property representatives for replacements.
Residents with existing AMI meters will not need a replacement.
